The Ministry of Education sought to improve the educational environment of the administration, teachers and students in schools; therefore, it launched the ISO 9001 Quality Management System, which aims to adopt a recognized global management system. This adopted system leads to obtaining a certification of conformity to the ISO 9001 international standard. It also focuses on beneficiary satisfaction (The school) through the continuous fulfillment of its aspirations and the ability to formulate a policy and other general goals to organize its performance, to concentrate on the interactive relationship between leader and workers, and to keep the improvement of performance.
The aim of the Ministry of Education is to insure a good and equitable education for all people, by applying the highest standards of governance and competitiveness, aligned with Oman Vision 2040 and the 2030 Sustainable Development goals. Also, these highest standards contribute to achieving economic growth and social well-being, through high-quality inputs and processes that enable learners to acquiring high knowledge, skills and competencies in partnership with the educational field, society and strategic partners.
The Ministry of Education pays great attention to students with disabilities. It specialized special education schools that provide them with educational services and teach them academic skills that suit their abilities and level of achievement. The Ministry also seeks to train and qualify those students professionally according to their abilities and capabilities and according to well-thought-out plans and special programs aimed at integrating them into society and preparing them for life.
