Resident Card (new/ renewal)

Service Description

Every expatriate who is a resident in Oman must obtain a Resident Card within 30 days of the date of entry in Oman.

The Resident Card should be renewed 30 days before the expiry date.

The applicant should apply for the service in person at  any of the Civil Status Directorates in the Sultanate.

Required Documents

  • Application form for a new Resident Card.
  • Original passport.
  • Resident Card in case it was issued previously.
  • Original and copies of the Manpower form after medical examination.
  • A letter from the employer (Government employment).
  • If the resident has children, he/she should provide the original copy of the birth certificate.
