    Service Provider Oman Academic Accreditation Authority

    Institutional accreditation is a two-stage process for the accreditation of all licensed public and private higher education institutions (HEIs) in Oman. The first stage is Quality Audit and the second stage is Standards Assessment. 

    Institutional Standards Assessment covers nine areas of scope which are: Governance and Management, Student Learning by Coursework Programs, Student Learning by Research Programs, Staff Research and Consultancy, Industry and Community Engagement, Academic Support Services, Students and Student Support Services, Staff and Staff Support Services, and General Support Services and Facilities.

    Service Provider Oman Academic Accreditation Authority

    General Foundation Programs (GFPs) are offered by the Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in order to prepare students for their higher education studies.  These are not credit-bearing and are not part of the higher education program. National standards for General Foundation Programs (GFPs) were developed by the OAAA and approved in June 2008.  The OAAA is in the process of developing a three-phase approach to the accreditation of GFPs, the first phase of which is GFP Quality Audit.

  • Service Provider Authority of Small and Medium Enterprises Development

    The loan disbursement mechanism shall be determined by the discretion of the main loan evaluation committee or the sub-committees in the governorates. Therefore, there are procedures to be followed when requesting a disbursement:

    • Apply for loan disbursement. (1 working day).

    • Visit the location of the project and approve utilizing the previous disbursement. (1 week)

    • Prepare a report of the visit including the final response to the application. (1 day)

    • In case of approval, Oman Development Bank will be contacted to complete the payment process. (1 day)

  • Service Provider Authority of Small and Medium Enterprises Development

    Citizens can apply for Al Raffd loans for the purpose of establishing or developing small or medium size establishments in accordance with the approved funding programs assigned for the same purpose. Each of these programs has its own conditions and requirements published on Al Raffd Website.

    The applicant can fill in the Loan Application form through the website and get the confirmation to proceed.

  • Service Provider Authority of Small and Medium Enterprises Development

    Beneficiaries of the funding support can request a settlement of their loans submitted to the concerned committee for the following purposes:

    • Postponement of payment.

    • Extending loan utilization period.

    • Modification of premium value.

    • Modification of loan term.

    • Requests related to adding commercial activities.

    • Cessation of legal proceedings.

    • Unbanning.

    The followed procedures are:

    • Filling in settlement application from and submit it to Al Raffd branch in the applicant’s area of residence. (1 day)

    • The concerned branch transfers the application to Oman Development Bank branch to complete the financial statements relating to the loan and the status of the financial payment, and give comments on the request. (1-3 working days)

    • Al Raffd branch will send the application to the settlement committee, accompanied with the required documents and the comments of the branch. (One working day)

    • A team preparing for the Settlement Committee will audit and review the data and complete the required documents in order to present the request to the Settlement Committee.

    • The Request is presented to the Settlement Committee and take the appropriate decision guided by bank and branch opinion (within a period of 2-3 weeks from the date of application).

    • The resolution is released and approved. Referring the original to the Oman Development Bank to take the necessary action to implement the settlement. (one working day)

    • A copy of the decisions issued is referred to the branches.

    • The applicant is informed with the decision (one working day)

    • The Settlement Committee is held twice a month to decide on the applications submitted to it.

  • Service Provider Authority of Small and Medium Enterprises Development

    Sanad Services Center licenses must be renewed yearly before the expiry date. This service enables the owners to renew their Centers online as follows:

    • Submit the application form through Sanad Services Centers outlook.

    • The application will be studied by the branch. The response should be sent online.

    • The licenses must be printed and displayed in a prominent place in the Center.

  • Service Provider Authority of Small and Medium Enterprises Development

    Omani job seekers can apply a request for getting Sanad Service Center license, which provides eGovernment services on behalf of the beneficiaries.

    • Application submission. (one working day)

    • Personal interview. (during a month from submitting the application)

    • Receipt of the initial approval. (one week after the interview).

    • Collecting the license. (grant 60 days to finish all the procedures from the date of receiving the approval letter)

    The certificate is issued after completing the following procedures:

    • Fill out the form for the validity certificate of fire and rescue vehicles and attach all required documents.

    • Get the vehicle Inspected by the Transport Department of the Public Authority for Civil Defense and Ambulance and bring the examination letter.

    • After completion, the required service fees are paid and the certificate is issued.

    The service is provided through the following procedures:

    • The company installing the civil defense equipment, devices and materials or the owner of the facility shall fill the request prepared for this purpose and attach all the required documents.

    • After completion, the fees are paid and the security and safety license is issued.

  • Beneficiaries

    Service Provider Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance

    The procedures to obtain this license are as follows:

    • The concerned person shall complete the application form for the safety and security license for the transport of chemical, radioactive and petroleum materials, their derivatives and industrial gases, and attach all the required documents.

    •  

    • The concerned person shall bring the vehicle for inspection and ensure that it meets the preventive requirements.

    •  

    • After completion, the required service fees shall be paid and the security and safety license is issued.

  • Beneficiaries

    Service Provider Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance

    The service is provided as follows:

    • The application form for the certificate of conformity of civil defense equipment, devices and materials to the standards and specifications shall be filled and all required documents shall be attached.

    • The application shall be studied by the PACDA specialists. After completion, the prescribed fees shall be paid and the certificate is issued.

  • Beneficiaries

    Service Provider Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance

    To obtain the certificate, the following procedures should be followed:

    • The company representative completes the application form for the certificate of practicing the installation of civil defense equipment, devices and materials and attaches all required documents. Then, fees are paid and the certificate is issued.

    • Regarding the maintenance of the extinguishers, the application is examined and a date is set for visiting the company's workshop to ensure the availability of maintenance tools for civil defense equipment and materials and the extent to which technicians are aware of maintenance operations

    Service Provider Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance

    The service is provided for the private sector as follows:

     

    • The advisory office completes the application form and attaches all required documents which include project plans.

    • The plans are studied by specialists at the Public Authority for Civil Defense and Ambulance to ensure that preventive requirements are appropriate for the facility to be licensed according to the followed regulations.

       

    • After ensuring that the plans meet the legal requirements that must be provided in the facility and after the payment of the prescribed fees, the initial security and safety license is issued with the approval of the plans for the facility.

  • Beneficiaries

    Service Provider Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance

    This service is provided as per the following procedures:

    • The company installing the equipment shall fill out the application form and attach all the required documents.

    • Coordinating with the company to schedule an inspection by the nearest Civil Defense Center.

    • After fulfilling the requirements, service fees shall be paid and the certificate is issued.

  • Beneficiaries

    Service Provider Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance

    When applying for this service, the following is required:

    • The engineer must have a bachelor degree (minimum) in the field of preventive engineering and fire protection methods.

    • The engineer's experience in the field is not less than two years for Omanis and five years for foreigners.

    • The service is provided as follows:

    • The engineering office shall fill out the application form and submit it with the required documents attached.

    • Studying the request by specialists at the Public Authority for Civil Defense and Ambulance, and in case of meeting the conditions, the fees shall be paid and the approval shall be issued for the activity.

  • Beneficiaries

    Service Provider Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance

    This service is provided for business owners as follows:

    • The concerned person shall complete the application form prepared for this purpose and attach all the required documents.

    • The Authority shall coordinate with the applicant to visit the site in order to implement the preventive requirements against fire hazards and provide a report of these requirements.

    • Scheduling another appointment with the owner to make a final visit to the site to ensure that all the preventive requirements that were observed in the previous visit are implemented, and after the implementation is confirmed, the applicant shall inform the management to pay the prescribed service fees and issue a security and safety license for the activity.

  • Beneficiaries

    Service Provider Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance

    For events and activities that require a security and safety license, the organizing body shall follow these procedures:

    • The person concerned shall fill out the application prepared for this purpose and attach the approvals of the competent authorities and the required documents.

    • The authority shall coordinate with the person concerned to visit the site prior to the event, in order to set the required preventive requirements to be implemented on the site and provide them with a report of those requirements.

    • In case a fire engine is required on site, the applicant shall be notified of the activities of high risk.

    • After completing the preventive requirements, the applicant shall check with the management or visit the site again to make sure they are implemented.

    • Then, the applicant shall pay the prescribed service fees to obtain a security and safety license for the event.

  • Beneficiaries

    Service Provider Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance

    This service is provided for business sector through the following procedures:

    • The company which does the installation of equipment and devices of civil defense or the owner of the facility shall fill out the application form prepared for this purpose and attach all the required documents.

    • The facility sets a date for the testing of equipment and devices of civil defense.

    • The site is then visited by specialists from PACDA to ensure that all safety requirements and fire hazards preventive controls are met.

    • After completion, the required service fees shall be paid and then the security and safety license is issued.

  • Beneficiaries

    Service Provider Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth

    This service offers the opportunity to invest in lands of sports clubs owned by the Ministry, for reasons such us, construction of buildings, sports fields, shops, or turning part of the land for commercial or investment use.
