    Overview

    On the job training are programs for judges, members of the Public Prosecution and their assistants and legal persons working at the administrative apparatus of the state and Omani lawyers. The training is divided into two parts:

    • Specialized Training.
    • Training the Judicial Agents.
  • Service Provider Consumer Protection Authority

    The consumer can make a complaint against shops, institutions, and companies, concerning any goods or services that violate the Consumer Protection Law or any of the decisions issued by the Authority, and that is through filling out a complaint form or submitting a written complaint with all the required information and details.

    Moreover, the consumer who made a complaint, or whoever is appointed officially with a power of attorney, should attend to the headquarters of the Directorate General for Consumer Protection – the Complaints Department (Consumer Services Hall).

    Conditions and regulations:

    • The complainant must show proof of his personal identity.
    • The complainant must fill out the complaint form or submit a written complaint.
    • Providing all the required documents.
  • Service Provider Consumer Protection Authority

    This service allows the consumer to inform the authority of any disorder in the market and that is by raising a complaint against violations, by individuals, companies or institutions; related to goods or services violating the Consumer Protection Law and its executive regulations and decisions issued by the Authority.

     

    Conditions and regulations:

    • The complainant must show proof of his personal identity.

    • The complainant must submit all the documents and details to register the case, its location and address.

    Service Provider Consumer Protection Authority

    The consumer can file a complaint against any individual, company or institution that has committed violations related to misleading advertisements (offers, discounts, publications) and counterfeited and corrupted goods that contravene with the Consumer Protection law and its executive regulations and the Authority decisions.

    Conditions and regulations:

    • The complainant should show proof of his personal identity.

    • The complainant should fill out the report form or submit a written report with all the details.

    • The complainant should submit all the documents and details to register the case and its location and address.

  • Service Provider Consumer Protection Authority

    The consumer is entitled to make a formal complaint against the decisions of the Authority and to claim a reconsideration, and that is by submitting a written complaint which includes all the required data and details.

    Conditions and regulations:

    • The complainant must show proof of his personal identity
    • Providing all the required documents that support the complaint or grievance.

    Service Provider Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources

    In case of emergencies, commodities are distributed by The National Committee of Civil Defense and PASFR headed by the Ministry of Social Development, as follows: 

    • Request to issue specific quantities from the Ministry of Social Development to the Head Committee in PASFR.
    • The Head Committee determines distribution of quantities to specific directorates in relation to the incident or the emergency.
    • The subcommittee in every directorate distributes the quantities of available commodities or coordinates with the private sector to provide them.

    The complaint window allows any member of the society to file reports or complaints pertaining to any administrative or financial irregularities such as negligence in performing duties in connection with public services, violation of applicable laws, regulations and decisions or misuse of public wealth in order to look and investigate into these complaints.

    Service Provider Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance

    The Firefighting service includes:

    • Protecting the public in emergency situations;

    • Responding to a wide variety of calls, such as car crashes, chemical spills and general rescue as well as firefighting;

    • Providing first aid until the arrival of ambulance personnel;

    • Promoting fire safety via talks, advice and training sessions;

    • Inspecting and enforcing safety standards in commercial and residential properties;

    • Demonstrating the use of firefighting equipment;

    • And other related duties.

  • Beneficiaries

    Service Provider Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance

    To obtain the certificate, the following procedures should be followed:

    • The company representative completes the application form for the certificate of practicing the installation of civil defense equipment, devices and materials and attaches all required documents. Then, fees are paid and the certificate is issued.

    • Regarding the maintenance of the extinguishers, the application is examined and a date is set for visiting the company's workshop to ensure the availability of maintenance tools for civil defense equipment and materials and the extent to which technicians are aware of maintenance operations
